These are the destinations I plan most often — the ones I've either lived in, returned to again and again, or fallen hard for on a client's behalf. If where you're headed isn't listed here, ask anyway. This is far from the whole list.
Stunning scenery, rich history, and great food and drink — Ireland is one of my favorite recommendations for a first trip to Europe, especially if you want culture and jaw-dropping landscapes without a language barrier. The Giant's Causeway alone is worth the trip, and that's before we even get to the coastal drives, the castles, and the pubs that feel like someone's living room.

Incredible views, centuries of history, food that'll knock your socks off, and coffee and pastries at every turn. Whether it's Venice's canals, Tuscany's rolling hills, the Amalfi Coast's cliffside towns, or Rome's layers of history stacked on top of each other, Italy rewards slowing down and eating everything in sight.

France will always have a special place for me — I lived there for two years, and it changed how I think about travel entirely. J'aime mon deuxième pays. From Paris to the countryside, I love helping others explore it in new ways, whether that's a first trip abroad or a return visit that goes deeper than the last one. And once you're smitten with France, the rest of Europe is right next door — I plan plenty of multi-country itineraries, too.

There's something about the big, wide-open landscapes of our National Parks that pulls at me — the way Joshua Tree's sunsets glow through the rocks and cactus, how Yellowstone's geysers make you feel small in the best way, or the majesty of the Sequoias. If you're craving adventure in the outdoors, this is where I love spending my planning time.
